Baby shower invitations and party favors are a fun way to start the party. When a guests receives the invitation for a baby shower they should immediately know everything they need to know about the party. If it is going to be a high class picnic luncheon, this should be reflected by the invitation. If it is going to be a silly co-ed party, this should also be reflected by the invitation. The invitation has to do a lot of the work for a baby shower so it is important to do it right.
The baby shower invitations and party favors should have an all-around theme for the day. It is a "It's a Boy" party or an "It's a Girl Party"? Will there be a diaper raffle? Baby shower favors should not just be a couple of chocolate pieces wrapped up and tied with a plastic pacifier. This is an outdated way to do baby shower favors. Instead think of something fun and modern to do. Perhaps small pictures of the sonogram or some fun memento of the new family coming into being would be a good favor for a baby shower.
