How to Hang a Hanging Chair
How to hang a hammock or hanging chair
Spending your day lounging around in a hammock feels great. You can take a break from your daily stresses and relax in your hammock or hanging chair while watching the sun set. Now only if you could hang your hammock the right way to get the best comfort out of it…
First of all, you will need about 12-14 feet of space between two trees. A little less or a little more won’t hurt either. Then you will need to get two pieces of 8 ft long durable rope, preferably 1/2 inch thick. Tie each piece of rope to rings at each end of the hammock.
Then lay the hammock in between the two trees to see how much rope you have to play with and wrap one end around one tree about 4-5 feet off the ground a few times and then tie it. Now pull the other end tight at the same height and tie that one as well.
That’s all there is to it. To hang a hanging chair, you simply tie two ropes from a strong tree limb and tie it to the chair. If you want to hang it under your porch, you will need to buy special hooks to go into the ceiling. Normally having someone familiar with this kind of stuff would be your best bet in getting one installed safely.
