Chase Your Dream

My dream since I was a child was to become an engineer and I was determined to chase my dream. I read lot of magazines related to IT and I got interested in it. Reading about the Google history and about Microsoft & Bill Gates, my interest became greater than before.

So I decided that I want to be a software engineer. Could my ambition come true??As days went by I reached my 10th standard and finished my schooling with normal percentage of marks. Still my computer bug kept increasing. But there was no one to guide me.

I read some resumes of Software engineers and got around it. I found most of them learned some programming languages and their area of expertise were very diverse. Some people think that to become a software engineer he /she have to learn all languages. But is not like that. From my experiences and knowing about other great Computer engineers I found that there is no need to learn all languages.

Learning all languages was going to be tough and very difficult. Was my dream going to be shattered due to my inadequate intelligence? Not at all! I was determined to fulfill my dream at any cost. I did become an engineering graduate but recruitment was elusive.

One day while I was at a café I overheard a conversation between two IT personnel at a Café. They were talking about networking and how it has become the buzzword these days. I went home and looked up in Google to know more about Networking. I found that a Network Administrator is an individual that is responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software systems that make up a computer network including the maintenance and monitoring of active data network or converged infrastructure and related network equipment.

Network Administrators focus upon network components within a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure ensuring integrity. Being a shy person by nature I realized that this profile suited my personality perfectly. I contacted my cousin who is employed in one of the best software companies in the country and asked him to guide me in my quest.

He told me that I should join the Cisco networking academy wherein I could get Cisco certifications which would result in easy recruitment. He spoke about the CISCO CCNA- a certification program for entry-level network engineers that helps maximize your investment in foundational networking knowledge and increase the value of your employer's network. I filled the form he gave me and that was the turning point in my life. I qualified with flying colors and was soon recruited by leading IT Company. I became a networking administrator, I made my dream come true, so can you. "Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true."
