The Architecture and History of this wonderful country will dazzle you when you arrive in the Czech Republic and is certainly worthwhile seeing.

Such a beautiful country, the Czech Republic is located South East of Germany in Central Europe. Due to being a safe country, it attracts many tourists who return each year. Being cooler in climate than other countries, you will need to remember to take some long sleeved tops with you, even in the summer as it won't be as warm as you may think.

When flying from the United Kingdom, there are a vast amount of airports you can depart from, including London airports and regional airports. Dependant on budget you'll also be able to choose whether you fly on a scheduled carrier or a low cost carrier, either way you have lots of choice. You can expect the flight to take around 2 hours, depending on where you have departed from.

Like any trip abroad, you will need to arrange your spending money and this will be the Czech Koruna. As many different retailers and money exchange bureaus have different Czech Koruna conversion rates, its always best to look around and see what the best rate you can get for your money. Their local currency is used in all shops and restaurants so you wont struggle to spend it, but so that you have a rough guide you can look at the Czech Koruna exchange rate to be about 28.00 to the pound, which means that if you were to spend 10 pound Sterling you would get 280 Czech Koruna.

The main area to visit in the Czech Republic is Prague. A great city to walk around and you will find the historic district, owing its dramatic architecture to the holy roman empire, interesting and full of things to do. You can visit the Old Town Square, Prague Castle and Charles Bridge for some great camera moments. Its known as one of Europe's most beautiful cities and has become a favourite for visitors staying for a couple of nights.

If your thinking of heading out of Prague, remember to do so but on a guided trip or as part of a tour as, outside of Prague, travel can be slightly challenging and facilities are not as developed. A couple of trips to do, would be Ceske Budejovice, the famous "brewing" town, again there is great architecture to look at and you can also stop for a brew, since it is famously known for its beer. Take a visit to Cesky Krumlov as well, this is a UNESCO heritage site and is a premier Eastern European medieval town, with the site being on the Vltava River and a near to a stunning 13th Century castle.

You will need accommodation while you are visiting Prague and you will not be disappointed with the standard of hotels available. Ranging from 2 star, bed and breakfasts, to 5 star Hotels. The hotels are scattered throughout Prague, right in the centre and on the outskirts of the city, there is no shortage of places to stay.

Start planning your trip if the amazing architecture, captivating historical sights and maybe the cheap beer are all captivating to you.
