1. Waiting three days to make a call. In the old days when a boy meets girl for the first time; said girl give boy the phone number and then wait three days to receive a call from the boy. Then, it makes a guy look cool and exotic with a hint of mysteriousness. But gone are the days where you have to wait three days to receive that call. In these days where most of us carry mobile phones and smart phones, waiting three days is agonizing. In these days where people want instant connection: text, talk, email, chat and IM; not calling makes you look like a wuss or someone who can't afford credit, or trying too hard to act cool. Just call the next day, for real. Within 24 hours if you can. If you don't want to be viewed as trying too hard then don't. Pick up the phone right away with confidence and say something straight and simple. Don't agonise about not being too entertaining or clever. The more run-of-the-mill you seem to sound, the more experienced and confident you will sound. That my friends, believe it or not, is sexy.

2. Make your date feel jealous. If you see your date getting preoccupied by something else or another person other than you, the first thing you have in mind is get them jealous- right? Most women do this in order to draw the attention back to them. Wrong! This time, it's too obvious and will make you look insecure, needy and dependent that you need his attention. Just concentrate on your life and not on him. If you take your partner to a party for instance, to make him feel jealous; you'd chat with others all the while and rarely mind him. How will that make him feel? Jealous? Slightly. Offended? Yes. Insulted? Yes. Attracted? No. It may seem obvious and fake on your part too. Instead let him tag along with you and don't leave them behind. Show him how well rounded and confident you are, that you are self-assured and have your own goals.

3. Play down your accomplishments. This goes out especially to women. Women should never try to impress a guy and flaunt out her accomplishments. Well now, this is no longer a big deal. Men tend to be drawn to successful women. Men want women who have drive and ambitions, whose life not only revolve on their mates. Who doesn't want a clever and successful person to be a partner? Who can support themselves and their future family as well. If you have accomplishments, then don't be afraid to say it. Tell them about it. Shine when you are out on a date.
