Can You Get A Job As A Recycler?

You can get paid to save the planet…

by David Tang

There are many noble professions that you can do in this world: a doctor caring for the sick, a fireman saving children from burning buildings, a policeman keeping the peace or maybe a vet looking after a horse with a broken leg. One could argue that the most modern of the noble professions is that of the recycler? What is the point in saving lives on a daily basis if humans as a species are doomed to certain death from global warming?

You may well have your recycling routines sorted, with nicely arranged bins for certain materials and you may go to the recycling centre regularly and never throw out anything you don't have to, but can you do this for a job? If you feel strongly enough about it you certainly can. Here's how:

Campaigner

If you feel that your talents lie in persuading others to recycle then you can get a job working for an environmental campaigner organisation. These companies not only promote the importance of recycling to their community, they also work on lobbying companies and government to improve their recycling habits.

Recycling plant

A more direct way to work in recycling is to get a job in the factories where materials are actually recycled. This is perfect if you prefer doing a job which is more hands on and where you can see with you own eyes, old materials being turned into new ones.

Recycling teams

If you are more of an entrepreneur, you may want to think about setting up a company which people pay to remove unwanted waste, furniture and all kinds of materials that can be recycled. There are many people in every city with over grown gardens, junk filled houses and cluttered and abandoned offices that will happily pay a team of recyclers to come in and carry out office and house clearances. Additionally furniture removal London is another service which will allow you to make sure that our growing stock of obsolete computer waste doesn't get any bigger.

As a job this one is possibly the most satisfying. As not only do you get the satisfaction of clearing homes and outside spaces of rubbish all day, you also get to have your own business and enjoy the financial rewards that that brings. You will also of course be getting paid to recycle all day which as mention earlier, is probably the most noble of modern endeavours.
