Handmade Persian Rugs Were The Key To Making My Living Room Come Together As A Thing Of Beauty

I have always enjoyed researching the peoples and cultures that make up our world and I take pride in decorating my home in a manner that honors the traditions of other people and one of my latest ways to do this was by buying some truly astonishing handmade Persian rugs. I first had this notion when I was in the midst of a major home remodel in an attempt to better display my collection, which included some Nigerian tribal masks and Jamaican wood sculptures.

I was incredibly proud of my collection, but when I examined my living room, I felt that the wooden floors seemed rather empty and almost cold and uninviting. This made me quite distressed and I was quite frustrated until I recollected that I had seen some pleasing and authentic handmade Persian rugs when I was visiting a friend and fellow collector in Maine, and I knew that these rugs would work perfectly.

I dialed this friend's number and suspecting that this would be an exercise in futility, asked where I could find these rugs without resorting to costly trips to distant locales. I was shocked, then, when he laughed and told me that he had found them in a very secret place that only he was privy to and that if I promised never to reveal the secret, he would let me know where this was.

The joke was on me as, after I agreed to his terms, he told me that he had ordered his breathtaking rugs online through a website that he gave me the name of. I laughed, even though I felt foolish and thanked my friend for his assistance before ending the call and jumping on my computer to see if this website was real or not.

I read through this website and I really, really appreciated what I saw there, but I knew that I would have a very rough time deciding between the various rugs and I found myself very strongly tempted to add a splendid braided wool rug to my order to keep in another area of my home. After sleeping on it and coming back to my computer the next day, I had made up my mind and happily placed an order that was set to arrive soon. The instant I saw the deliveryman leave my house, I ripped apart the packaging and placed my new rugs on the floor of my living room, and I was so excited about how they looked that I invited the whole neighborhood over to see my collection!
