Avoid the gang... to the boot camp!

by Cielo Amor Paloma

For some teenagers, being in a gang could sound so cool or being popular. During the adolescent years, it is natural for kids to seek belongingness. However, a gang is usually associated with violence, physical abuse and even substance abuse. Most teenagers who are in a gang have deep and huge anger issues. They often channel their anger in bullying and overpowering other kids in school.

Parents should be able to know the peers of their teenager kids. They also need to know what they are doing or where they are going everyday after school.

What are the signs to notice that your teenager might be involved in a gang?

* changes in outfits or dress patterns * instant changes in your kid's peer preference * odd gang symbols on books and clothings * secretiveness * having large sums of money * abrupt changes in behavior

The moment or even before the school principal calls, you might think about sending your teenager to a boot camp. A boot camp could be your immediate solution. They have structured activities to help teenagers realize the importance of responsibility, rules, respect and discipline. However, you should notice such adverse behavior immediately, since boot camp only works at the earliest stage of behavioral problem.
