It's important to know that this area is also very hot in the summer. Temperatures often reach three digits. Although the rental rates are low, the electricity bills for air conditioning are definitely something to consider.

The Valley is a great area for jobs and recreation. Northwest of Los Angeles are several homes in the hills. This area, which includes Malibu and Topanga, has luxury apartments. They're fairly expensive, so it's important to have a significant income to live in that area.
