10 Ways to Feel Better in Under 10 Minutes.

Holistic Wellness Tips

by Wendy Matthews

Here are some great ideas for how to feel better, naturally. Some of them may seem obvious. It's interesting how sometimes these exact holistic approaches are the ones we have ignored to try. It's always great to be reminded of them!

1) Drink 3 Large glasses of water. Find the best quality of drinking water that you can. ( tip) a clear quartz crystal can greatly boost the vibrational essence of drinkable tap water)

2) Bring your awareness to your body temperature. If you are cold, your body has been working harder to warm you. This can deplete you of energy. Go get that sweater or pair of socks and let your body stop working so hard!

3) Breathe in deeply. Imagine healing white light from your highest source, filling your body. Exhale and imagine tension and stress leaving your body. Try doing this 8 times.

4) Have an Epsom Salt footbath. Our bodies are often depleted of Magnesium. Soaking your feet in epsom salt water allows the body to absorb magnesium quickly.

5) If you are in front of a computer all day, make sure to take periodic short breaks. You don't need to have time for a "coffee break" Just stand up, stretch, close your eyes for 30 seconds, maybe drink a glass of water and then sit back down.

6) Gently massage your Facial Reflexology points. Using the middle fingers from both hands, gently stimulate in circular motions the following areas:

a) The top of your forhead, just under the hairline at the midline.

b) Slightly under the cheek bone. ( each finger will be lined up underneath each eye)

c) Directly under the lower lip. Starting at the midline , each finger works outwards toward the corners of the lips. Lift and go back to the midline and repeat several times.

7) I know you've heard this one before, Eat a banana. It really does provide you with so many essential nutrients. So, you're craving something else? Why not have that banana first and then go ahead and have what you're craving?

8) Become aware of how many non essential stimulants are bombarding your system. Are there a lot of lights on, a Tv you're not watching, music blaring in another room, someone forgot to turn the fan off over the stove? It's surprising how relaxing it feels the minute we reduce some of the noise pollution around us that we were not even aware was bothering us!

9) Use essential oils as a "pick me up".

Fatigued? Add a drop of essential orange or grapefruit to a carrier massage oil or just plain olive oil. A little dab on your temples will recharge you.

Stressed? A drop of Lavendar and massage oil applied to the wrists is calming.

For a cold, a drop of Eucalyptus prepared as above and massaged onto the chest feels great. avoid eye area and sore nose area as it can be strong and burn slightly)

10) When people ask you how you feel, SMILE and say, with great conviction "I feel fantastic! " Repeat this to yourself 10 times. The power of your own language is amazing. Your body will respond to your programming commands!
