Olive oil for rheumatoid arthritis pain?

This looks like an implausible issue to ask, right? I mean olive oil? C'mon!

Well, as it turns out, the olive oil for pain idea is absolutely not as far fetched as you may think.

But this seemingly straightforward problem raises a complete host of other issues.

In this article, we review some of the important "olive oil for arthritis" questions.

Swallow or apply?

Olive oil, needless to say, is mostly a very common ingredient in cooking. Experts in this field treat different types of olive oils as one would treat a fine wine. The characteristics of a single batch, like bouquet, appearance, dye, and flavor can all influence the eventual quality & use for this oil. But other than our cuisine, how can olive oil relieve the pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis and many other types of arthritis?

As it turns out, olive oil contains a natural compound known as oleocanthal. Oleocanthal has anti-inflammatory properties, and works the same as many other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDS), such as ibuprofen, naproxen, or diclofenac. The amounts of oleocanthal in olive oil vary significantly, and depend on the types of olives used to produce the oil, along with the manufacturing process used to produce the oil. But, on the whole, 3 to four tablespoons of olive oil are actually equivalent to approximately two hundred milligrams of ibuprofen. Oleocanthal is also the reason why olive oil might have a slightly peppery, sharp flavor once swallowed by the spoonful.

But there are two problems with the use of olive oil for arthritis. To begin with, as mentioned previously, you would want to take 3-4 tablespoonfuls 2 to 4 times daily so as to get any type of anti-inflammatory & pain relieving effect. From a nutritional view, this isn't a great idea. Olive oil is extremely high in calories. Now normally, this isn't an issue since we generally eat small quantities of olive oil. But 9-12 tablespoons of olive oil a day represents a lot of calories & fat in our eating plan.

Next, it is not a nice approach to get pain relief. After a while, the excess oil will probable cause stomach ache, intestinal distress, and diarrhea. Additionally, consuming huge quantities of oil will reduce the assimilation of some nutrients, like Vitamin A. Moreover, we will get very bored with the flavor or consistency from swallowing large amounts of olive oil each day of the week. As a result, we predict ingesting the olive oil as a means of reducing the pain of RA & many other forms of arthritis is simply not a great, nor pleasing, idea.

What about rubbing olive oil on painful joints?

Massaging painful joints with olive oil seems like a really reasonable idea. By massaging the olive oil into the sore joint, the oleocanthal will seep into skin, and provide relief from pain. Nevertheless, there's a comparable issue similar to the issue we saw by consuming olive oil. We would have to rub quite a bit of olive oil onto skin in order to gain any form of pain relief for our arthritis. In addition, who wants to walk around smelling like olive oil anyway?

I have a better idea.

Is Elmore Oil safe to use?

Elmore Oil is mostly olive oil, so it is very safe. What could possibly be as safe than olive oil!

But more importantly, by utilizing Elmore Oil, you do not have to consume olive oil by the tablespoonful, therefore you then keep the weight off your body while also gaining all-natural, powerful pain alleviation for your RA or other kinds of arthritis.

As an alternative, you smear a small quantity to the skin 2-3 times per day of the week and allow it to work. I might give it a few weeks before you actually start to experience reduced aches and pains, more mobility, & greater comfort. This roll-on product may not relieve all of the pain, but it might help you feel more comfortable, & perhaps even decrease the amount of those dangerous Rx medicines you are presently taking.
