The Beginner's Guide To Choosing Hot Pink When You Make Over Your First Home

"Our first house definitely needed a lot of work. Or at least, that is just how it was looking. I discovered some Home Depot coupons that I would come in really handy to help us keep the cost down with all the repairs the new house needed. Our new home all in all, required a lot of work done.

When we first saw the house it was just a small home. We didn't mind because it only needed to house the two of us. We decided to fix it up one improvement at a time. When we finished, we set up a goal to eventually make our house the way that we wanted it.

The first project we had to do something about was the water. We had to replace the whole plumbing in the house. We didn't know the first thing about plumbing so we hired an expert. We hired a friend, who also happened to be a plumber to do the work. A new bathtub and shower unit first needed to be be installed. So as a consequence, the plumber would be asked to do this work. Even after these changes, the bathroom still needed some renovations. We then installed different lights and beautiful cupboards which looked exceptional.

The walls of the living room and dining room were the old, dark paneling that was probably installed in the 1970's. Bright colors would look best, so we primed and painting both rooms yellow and green. Then, we went about building a ledge that reached all the way to the front window. It was just perfect for all my flowers. We also had to extricate the carpets and install brand new carpet in the living room and laminate throughout the dining room.

Then, the bedroom which would be difficult because of its measurements. The walls were formerly orange. We were not fond of how it went with the vintage paneling. Though, green or hot pink seemed like the only colors that would make it look decent.

When I threw out the suggestion of hot pink to my husband, I thought his face was going to turn beet red. Rather, he thought that it might work. It then was decided that hot pink was going to be the right choice for our room. I ended up decorating with lots of tiger print and all sort of different shades of gold. It ended up looking fantastic and quickly became the room that I would immediately show friends when they came over."
