New Homes For Sale In Bedfordshire - May 2011 Update

House hunters hoping to benefit from the best of both worlds - tranquil rural surroundings combined with good amenities and accessibility, might like to consider the choice of new homes in Bedfordshire available at the moment. The county has busy market towns and quiet villages, some excellent schools and great connectivity via the M1 and A1(M) and rail routes into King's Cross and St Pancras. The location is delightful, a peaceful village close to the River Great Ouse that was mentioned in the Domesday Book and still retained buildings dating back as far as the 15th century. Stations at nearby Bedford and Sandy provide services into London with journey times of around 45 to 50 minutes.

There are a number of four-bedroom home styles to choose from. Top of the range is the 'Hawker' house type, the current show home now made available for sale priced £514,500. Bloor Homes has a number of family homes available at its Lakeview development in Elstow, on the southern outskirts of Bedford. It is part of the first village to be constructed for the new Wixams community planned for this strategically important area.
