It's no secret. Lead capture pages (or squeeze pages) are all the rage now, and with good reason. Any Internet marketer and especially the master affiliates will tell you that capture pages are essential to grow a list that will result in long term profits. Making a capture page is very simple. But even with a capture page many still fail. Why? Well, here are three tips to help you tune your capture page for optimum performance.1 – The Golden QuestionWhenever you create a capture page, or any web page that is selling something, ask yourself this question: Would I sign up for this product? Put yourself in your customer's shoes. This is the hardest thing for most marketers to do, but it's what separates the novice from the guru. So to overcome this you need to build value!Don't think just because your not asking for your reader to give them your credit card that your not trying to sell them something. List all the benefits of your report and utilize key words that trigger emotion. Make the offer so irresistible that it would be crazy for your prospect to leave the page without getting your freebie. 3 – Think Outside The BoxSo lets say your lucky enough to get your reader to give you their email. They will be sent to a simple page where they will be asked to confirm, right? Wrong. You have a captive audience, so take advantage of it! Use that page to give them an irresistible offer or a link to the affiliate site your promoting. Then, when your prospect gets that first email to download the product, send them to another page where they can download it and give them another offer (or one more chance to get that irresistible offer!) But remember the Golden Rule: Sell how you wold like to be sold to. Your prospects are people too so treat them like it! Now, drive traffic to you capture page and watch them sign up! A 30 conversion rate for your capture page is pretty good. As long as you remember to apply these tips you will have a finely tuned, efficient capture page ready for optimum performance.
