Thank You Cards Are A Business Necessity

by Kate Manheaven

Can achieving the sales and profits you desire be as easy as expressing your gratitude to customers?

Possibly. In today’s tough market environment, a simple thank you can go a long way. It can give you the attention you need or perhaps the uniqueness that you aim for. A lot of businesses have experienced the wonders of gratitude marketing, perhaps it’s time you experience it for yourself.

Ask yourself, when was the last time you said thank you to someone? Was it to the man who gave you his seat last week? Perhaps to your mother for letting you go to the party? Maybe to your teacher for giving you a high grade?

In business, these two words can mean a lot to customers. Most of the time people buy from a business expecting nothing but to get only what they paid for. But if you give them extra, like appreciating them for patronizing your business, they might not get something of financial value from it but they would definitely feel good about your business.

In relationship marketing, sending thank you cards are a great relationship builder. They help make your customers feel comfortable with you. They trust you more and feel more compelled to buy from you again. They feel that they are in good hands when doing business with you, thereby, increasing the chance that they will stay loyal to your business.

Contrary to what other people say, creating thank you cards doesn’t take a lot of money. You don’t actually need to create fancy cards as your intention is clear: to express your gratitude to your customers. There’s no need to beat around the bush. In fact, it’s better if you say your message direct to the point.

It’s important though that you pick the right font and color that will make your cards easy to read and understand. You would not want people tossing your card into the trash bin before they get read. Just use a simple font that will deliver your message straight to the point. You can tell the person the circumstance of sending your card, but don’t make the introduction too long. Keep in mind that your customers only have a few seconds to decide whether your card is worth their attention or not. This makes it exceptionally important to convey your message clearly.

There are several instances you can send your cards such as the following:

- Those who bought from your business - Those who did not buy but considered you - Those who made a difference to your life and your business - Those who gave you their support and stood by you in the tough times - Those who volunteered their service to help your project - Your employees also deserve a thank you - Those who attended your events or activities - Those who referred you to other people

There are other instances where a thank you is appropriate. If ever the need arises that sending your thank you card printing is essential, don’t hesitate to send it.

Keep in mind that sometimes it’s just a matter of expressing a thank you to earn the deal you have long wanted to close.
