How to Retain and Add Customers
As a business that’s only started, you want your products, services and business in general to be recognized by customers, and of course, to gain profit. But you can’t do it by yourself. You need the help of some marketing tools that have proven its worth for making small businesses turn into big ones. These types of marketing tools come in all different varieties from simple coupons and newsletters, to flyers, banners and posters; there are even simple things such as that of pens and calendars that can be good marketing tools.
Since marketing is a venture game and one of the most important part of running a successful industry, these advertising tools should be well thought out- from the content, design, color and the printing company that will do the printing. These promotional materials do not need to be flashy to be helpful; but they definitely have to be designed nicely in order to attract customers. You only have two types of customers to attract actually.
Old Customers. Customers are your major consideration because they are the reason why you need marketing tools. You must attract them to buy from your store and continuously amaze them with your products and services. Current potential buyers will become repeat customers and prospects if the right advertising gear is given. For example, newsletters sent to them in the mail with the enterprise information printed in legible letters are the perfect reminder tool of the company.
These customers and prospects will tend to apply the easiest phone number they can find if they need a device or specific service; and what better place to have it displayed than on the buyers refrigerator door. These prospects can also make great advertising tools to bring in new ones. That is why you need to have good graphic designers that can do outstanding newsletter templates that will entice customers to read it.
If the current customer needs to write something down in a hurry they either pull a pen from their pocket or purse for it. If the pen works great, looks great and has the enterprise logo and information printed neatly onto it, the customer will remember the company that gave them the advertising object and tell who ever may be near them at the time. On the other hand, if the pen is inexpensive and will not work for the customer when they need, it they may not be saying nice things about that corporation.
New Customers. Future customers and prospects are the next goal when trying to select who to give marketing products to. These prospective buyers can be found at trade shows, parties and even at the store. The products are the same type as you would give out to current prospective buyers and of the same quality. That being said they should not be just handed to every individual that you meet along the way. This would be a waste of marketing funds and of time. At parties for example, listen to what the people are saying. There will often be someone in the crowd that would need items that are sold by an enterprise or a service. This is the perfect opportunity to jump in and give the advertising solution and do a little self promoting.
Grocery stores are another good place to dig up future customers. Having a pen ready for someone in need is a great way to tell that customer about the company. When that individual uses the pen, again it will prompt them to start promoting the small business that was there when they were in need.
You need only to focus on these two types of customers to make your business flowing with profit.
