Ways To Lose Weight For Summer

Are you getting ready for summer? Have you got a few extra pounds to release before you attend to go out in public in your shorts? Are you avoiding the beach or pool because of the bulges hanging over your swimsuit?

I know you don't like to think about it. Nobody does. But now is the time to start thinking about what you are going to do to feel good about your body this summer. Its swimsuit season folks! Don't miss out just because you feel self conscious on how you look. When you think about losing weight, what do you think of doing? How are you going to lose this weight?

Some of you will automatically look at going on a diet. You will Google the next best diet out there. How can you get rid of it fast and easy? Is there such a thing? Perhaps pills or natural supplements? I am not a big pill fan. They are supposed to curb your appetite and rev up your metabolism. I have never found enough safe and lasting evidence that pills are at all good for you and weight loss. My suggestion would be to go to a good calorie reduced well balanced food plan. Get a small plate. Don't stand up while you eat. And stop picking!

Others of you will shoot right for starting an exercise program or upping the ante of what you are doing now. I applaud you. Exercise is super important. Studies show that if you can exercise in the am it will help increase your metabolism. You need to exercise 200-300 minutes per week in order to start to see benefits of weight loss through exercise. When you first start exercising you may feel hungrier. That's okay. Eat more of the right stuff, meaning lean protein and veggies and this will actually help you lose weight. One warning...just because you exercise does not mean that you will lose weight. You must stop eating so much. It's the 80/20 rule. 80% of losing weight is what you eat but the last 20% is what matters to keep it off.

If order for you to get rid of those pounds before summer it is a smashing idea to get a coach, join a group, get some support and accountability so you can lose weight and look great in that new bathing suit you've been dieing to wear!
