Even If You Are Trying To Make Money Blogging, Don't Forget The Fun Side Of Things

There are so many people out there trying to make money blogging that you have to stop and wonder how many of them are actually enjoying themselves while the do it, after all it can be extremely rewarding running your own blog even if you aren't in it for the money. In fact there are probably a huge number of well read, successful blogs that initially were started just so that the author could have some fun online and there may have been no intention to make money blogging originally, so don't be afraid to have a little fun with your blog.

Imagine that your blog is not about making money for a minute and think about what it is that made you start it in the first place, was there a particular topic that you were passionate about, did you want to vent about your frustrations with life or simply keep your friends and family up to date about what's going on in your life. Try to concentrate not only on the ideas you have that you think can help you to make money blogging, but also on the things that excite you about having your own blog, your own soapbox on which to stand.

If you take the time to concentrate on the aspects of blogging that excite you and make you happy rather than spending too much time worrying about how to get traffic or where to put your adverts you will probably find that your blog will come across as more natural and easy to read. The more you enjoy writing the more likely you are to put your own personality into what you are saying and your audience will notice the difference, after all if someone is just churning out content to target search engines it is less likely that they will be publishing truly useful content.

The other thing to consider as you try to make money blogging is that the more you treat blogging as a job that you have to do the more likely you are going to resent having to create new articles every couple of days and the higher the risk will be that you might skip a day here and there, and then another, and another until suddenly you realise you haven't posted for a month or two. However if you are truly excited about the topics you are writing about and you make the process of blogging fun you are more likely to look forward to it each day and continue doing it for the long haul (which is the goal afterall).

So don't just limit your blogging experience to making it all about the 'business', take the time to have some fun, post things you are interested in or excite you, don't be afraid to write short posts that link visitors to other content that interests you and most of all make sure you do it becuase you enjoy it. Once you can truly say that you are excited about blogging then you can think about how to maximise your income from your loyal readers and that is where your chances to make money blogging will really see a boost.
