Everything you see in life started out as an idea,including businesses.Your business,like any, revolves around ideas.Ideas for marketing and advertising.Ideas for solving problems.Ideas for product development....etc.Your success or your failure could hinge on just a single idea.Wow! So how will you generate these ideas?Here are just a few ways to stimulate that brain muscle of yours.

In order to generate business ideas,communication is absolutely essential.You should communicate regularly with other business people and,as with anything else,there are tons of resources,both online and off,to assist with this.For example, there are chat rooms,discussion boards and forums in cyberspace while the real world hosts gatherings in the form of seminars or trade shows.All of these provide a stage set to share your knowledge, ask questions and take in all sorts of new information that will stimulate your business mind and ultimately lead to a profitable idea. These functions are fertile ground to sew the seeds of fortune for your business.They should be taken advantage of constantly.
O.K.,your not much of a communicator.Your not too social,I understand.Then how about this.Reading. Reading is also a means of mental stimulation. So go out and get yourself some subscriptions to magazines or Ezines in your field that interest you.Keep an eye out for new books coming out,real books or,of course,good old Ebooks.Read newspapers, peruse some websites.Engulf yourself in literature pertaining to your business.By absorbing and re- arranging this information on a regular basis,your brain WILL manifest ideas from which you will profit. Now as I write that,it almost seems too obvious an idea to convey and yet according to a suvey,56% of small business owners do NOT subscribe to at least one magazine pertaining to that business.I also wonder what percentage of that 44% are just laying in a lobby.Reading leads to ideas.period.Do it. O.K.,You don't have time to read.I understand.How about audio books?Or seminars and courses on tape? Excuse me,CD?I know you love that classic rock station,but what about listening to a seminar in the car?I,personally,think that is a perfect time to pop in on of these.Not only will you take your mind off traffic light that won't turn green,but you're certainly maximizing your time and stimulating your mind.While doing housework,yardwork,or exercising (if you choose to do such things)are also ideal times to play an audio book and get that cauldren of money making ideas brewing.Also,check the radio for business related talk shows.These can sometimes be found on weekends satelite radio.These are perfect ways to fit your brain stimulation into your busy schedule.
There are also a few tips to help maximize these stimulation techniques.Like taking breaks in the middle of them to brainstorm the information received.It is very easy to overload your brain, as I'm sure you know.Take in just enough info to work with at a given time.If your like me,It's a good idea to have a pen and pad handy so you don't forget your great idea.If only you had everything you ever thought of written down.Well, at least try.
Every penny that was ever made in the business world had its origin as a single idea,as well as every penny lost.Ideas,good or bad, are the foundation of any business.Don't let your brain go dry.Constantly work the fields of your brain so that new ideas grow,so goes your business.
