The Dyson Animal vacuum DC14 remains an exceptional vacuum-at a premium price. The factory-reconditioned model, however, will cost as little as forty percent of the initial purchase price without compromising on quality, features, accessories, or even a warranty. Described by its manufacturer as "the most powerful upright for pet hair," the Dyson DC 14 features a quick-draw hose, Root8Cyclone suction, telescopic reach, instant stair cleaning, wide channel for fat cleaning, an ergonomic design that's easy on the shoulders, a lifetime HEPA filter, and high velocity airflow tools. New or reconditioned, the DC14 has a variable height adjustment position, edge cleaning capability, a 35-foot cord and a 17 foot hose, a 12 ampere motor and 270 air watts worth of suction. Accessories include a mini turbine head, a low reach floor tool, a carpet care kit, a brush tool, a stair tool, and a crevice tool. Some customers consider the Dyson Animal vacuum DC14's positive features to liabilities, such as its Root8Suction to be so strong as to pull the hose back toward the base unit. But at six hundred and fifty or five hundred dollars, a showroom Dyson Animal vacuum D14 is expensive; and even at twenty percent off, it's still quite a price for a home appliance. A reconditioned Dyson Animal Vacuum DC14, however, in "like-new" condition, with a six month warranty, can be as little as four or three hundred dollars.
