Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson are some of the most popular brands of mobile phones across the world. However, other than these brands, a number of mobile phone manufacturers have steadily gained popularity and recognition in the market due to their revolutionary mobile phones which have set the global mobile phone market in motion. One popular example of that mobile phone are the iPhones.

iPhone is a mobile phone manufactured by Apple Inc. which was released in 2007. What made the mobile phone popular, other than its Internet and multimedia functionalities, is with its multi-touch screen functionality which introduced a plethora of new technologies in the market.

iPhone’s main capability According to many cellphone Philippines enthusiasts, the iPhone became popular because of its multi-touch screen functionality. The user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. What made it popular is that, in that time, that kind of technology was rare and it was iPhone that started the touch-screen technology in which many other mobile phone manufacturers soon followed.

Other than its multi-touch screen functionality, the iPhone is also known for its other features such as camera, text messaging and visual voicemail, a portable media player, and an Internet client.
