Airport Transfers - Will you be left waiting?
by Rodney LHuillier
Imagine being stuck at a busy airport when unbenowns to you it's peak hour due to everyone arriving home for the weekend or there's a major event in town! This can place a great deal of load on transport services and you might find yourself waiting in taxi cues, lining up for the next bus or trying to fight your way on to a packed train with suitcases and luggage in tow.Doesn't sound like much fun!Planning ahead can save a lot of hassle and make the start of your trip an enjoyable experience whether it's for yourself, your collegues or family. There are usually a number of options available for pre booked airport transfers and some of these include:Shuttle buses and coaches - generally operate at most airports and have services that depart at regular intervals. They can either take you straight to your door or to central drop off points. Some downsides are that you may have a long ride with multiple stops as they drop off at all the destinations. Although some see this as a great way to see a little of the area.Limousines and charter - vehicles can include stretch and sedan limousines, people movers or buses that you hire just for you or your group. A driver will generally meet you on arrival and assist with your luggage. This method takes you direct to your door and the driver is dedicated to your needs. Many of the vehicles have bar service and luxury appointments. Prices can be very competitive particulary for group travel and extra requirements are easily catered for. When booking one of these services it pays to have an all hours contact number for the service in case you are arriving in the early or late hours and can't locate the driver. If possible also give the company your cell or mobile number in case they need to contact you on the day of the journey.Ask exactly where to meet the driver and ask if he will be carrying a signboard for your attention.Let the operator know exactly who and what will be arriving for transfer. For example how much luggage, how many people and whether they are adults or children as some services are required to have baby seats or capsules. Also let the driver know your arriving flight number so if the flight is delayed or early they can make adjustments to their schedule.Plan ahead by pre booking airport transfers and start your next trip or holiday hassle free.
