Baghouses and wet scrubber are the two types of Secondary Collectors. The collection efficiency of both primary and secondary collectors range from 1 micron to 75 microns.ƒ ƒ * Hot Mix Conveyor The hot mix asphalt is transported from the drum to the Storage Silo using the Hot Mix Conveyor. The primary objective of Hot Mix Conveyor is to prevent heat loss and mix segregation. Because of the high temperature of the mix and steep inclined shape, Drag Slats are used. * Storage Silo It is an insulated and heated structure that is used for temporarily storing the hot mix asphalt. Storage Silo helps in preventing plant shutdowns that may be cause due to paving or hauling interruptions. A conveyor delivers the hot mix to the batcher that is at the top of the Storage Silo.
