Marketing Secrets Of The Extraordinary Business

How to turn your business into a bigger and better business

by Dan Cavalli

What you are about to read, is the cream of ideas that extraordinary businesses use to become successful with very little if any cost.

If you want to improve the results of your marketing give away something of perceived value to a prospective customer. The more successful items you give away, the more you make and the more economical your marketing program will become. If you find ways to capture your prospects’ name and you will have a recipe for building a machine that will feed your business with sales for life.

Just imagine you have found the holy grail of marketing. It is the future and you’re thinking about the business you started three years ago and are reminiscing about the years of success you’ve had while your competitors have long gone broke.

Now come to your senses. Before you gloat so quickly about success you had better have the right elements in place to produce those fantastic results. Knowing what they are can save you time and effort without the downside of inexperience.

Having a blueprint will put your mind to rest and save you a fortune.

TIP: The key difference between an average and a great business is the people at the top. In a great business they implement many successful income-generating solutions.

The Costs Associated With Marketing Many business owners believe they have to spend a fortune for the best results. They base this assumption on how much other large businesses spend on marketing. It may be surprising to know that a successful marketing plan doesn’t need a lot of money.

TIP: The secret to spending efficiently is to test before you spend.

Preconceptions Believe it or not, people do not buy on price. To illustrate this just look outside your business and experience the wealth in the street. Do you see old beaten up motor vehicles or mostly new and fairly expensive cars. Do you see things that people spend a lot of money on?

Look at what people wear. Do they mostly wear second hand clothes or do they wear new and brand named fashion? Yes, people buy on emotion. The secret is to get your customers emotionally involved with your product.

TIP: Price increases do not stop sales. You cannot predict the results of a price increase without testing.

What Strategies Work First and foremost, a business’s chief aim is to gather a database of customers who are happy with the product they bought from them. If you don’t have customers yet, this is your first task.

TIP: If you are new to business develop a lead generating system

For this exercise, I have assumed that you are established with customers.

Contact Your 100 Best Customers. This can be done by phone, email or newsletter. Ask them what the most important item or service is that they would like you to provide for them. Visit them face-to-face and get to know them by name. Give them a free gift of value.

Before you embark on this project work out the lifetime value of each customer. This will tell you how much you can afford to spend. Here is how to find your customer’s lifetime value (CLV).

Lets say a customer buys from you monthly Divide your average monthly sales profit by the monthly average number of customers who buy from you. So say your average monthly sales profit is $5,000 and there are an average of 100 people who buy each month.

Simply take the 5,000 profit and divide it by the 100 customers and that will = $50. Then find out the average number of months your customers buy from you each year. Lets say that is 10 months

CLV is $500 ($50 x 10). So how much are you willing to give away in order to gain a customer who will generate $500 for you before they leave you and go somewhere else?
