Intuitive mum helps children see the power of animals
by Sharon Walsh
INTUITIVE MUM HELPS CHILDREN SEE THE POWER OF ANIMALSMum of three, Kylie Holmes, has recently introduced a series of revolutionary workshops to help children of all ages throughout the UK improve their confidence and self-esteem. The workshops called ‘Power Animals 4 Kids’ are run through Kylie’s company Touched By An Angel and are set up to help children and parents deal with issues such as bullying, anxiety, lack of confidence, shyness, strained relationships and loneliness. Ask any child to name their favourite animal and they will choose a domestic pet, a wild beast, an insect, a reptile or a mythological creature. Most children love at least one animal and most children love to play imaginary games – and it is based on such factors that Kylie has decided to draw children’s attention to the concept of ‘power animals’. Power Animals are in fact spirit guides in animal form whose purpose is to help children of all races and cultures overcome life’s challenges and obstacles. One technique practised in Kylie’s Power Animal workshops involve encouraging children to imagine (in their mind’s eye) an animal they would like to accompany them wherever they go. Kylie has seen the benefits of this technique on children facing problems such as bullying, as these children are taught to draw strength and comfort from visualising a favourite power animal standing beside them each time they confront a fear or anxiety – one such example being where a child imagines that their animal is frightening the bully away.Kylie, also an Intuitive Angel Therapist, Transpersonal Therapist, Counsellor and Writer, believes that working with power animals is extremely rewarding as such spirit guides help increase a child’s personal power and sense of oneness. She explains: ‘Within my workshops there are many power animal techniques for children to explore through many different genres: art, music, writing, playing interactive games and numerous other fun activities. The wisdom of animals when applied to personal growth can help your child grow spirituality’. Kylie knows the serious impact of bullying upon a child as she remembers her eldest daughter being a victim at just six years of age. ‘I adopted daily power animal techniques on Jade to help her gain the confidence she needed to make her bullying stop. Working with my daughter and her power animal proved to be successful and long lasting. As such I have since widened the spiritual net so that I can help all children with their problems and traumas. My work is very important to me and if I can contribute towards helping my little students lead positive, healthy, happy lives then this can only be to the good'.
