How To Recycle Those Power Tools
Find New DeWALT Parts
Are your power tools losing their power? As much as you wish they weren't, I'm betting that many of them probably are. Let's face it, power tools don't last forever, but hey, don't just go and chuck them out. Perhaps all they need are some good replacement parts. Treat your power tool parts like you would your car. When it stops working you don't just go buy a new car right? Well, maybe there are some out there who are wealthy enough to do so, but for the other 95 percent of us, the first thing we do is take our car in to replace whatever part caused our car to either lose its power or stop working all together.
This sad tale will help better make my point. I will make mention of it. Roxy is 11 years old and has been through many long trips, mostly traveling from her college apartment carport to her much more improved summer garage. She has helped a number of siblings get through college and has never complained much about doing it. Sometimes though, Roxy would get a little weary from all the work she had to do and would sometimes have a "break down." However, after she got her relaxation and had a few parts repaired, she was back at it like new.
I hope you get my point. One of the biggest mistakes people make is throwing out power tools that could be easily replaced and without to much time they would be working like new again. Perhaps instead of buying a brand new grinder, why not get some DeWALT grinder parts instead? Not only would you save money from having to buy a new grinder, you would also get the satisfaction of fixing something that really was broken!
Fathers get their day in the sun for a special holiday and DeWALT power tools, Porter Cable generator parts, and Porter Cable cordless drill parts become hot products for gifts. With gas prices as high as they are, you don't have to go and buy a complete power tool for your Dad, just find out what power tools he has that are of need of some replacement parts. It could be that he has a Porter Cable cordless drill that needs some parts. Find him the right tool parts to get them going again. What a great way to be with your dad and replace some of his cherished DeWALT or Makita power tools.
It seems like good father son relationships are a rare thing in the world today. With so many better more exciting things to do such as playing video games and surfing the web, kids today are losing touch with what the most important things in life. I imagine we will see a large drop in the number of "handyman" guys around in the future because they never have used a power tool and their dads don't spend the time to teach them to be hard workers. When will they get to experience the joy that accomplishing something or building something brings, besides making a thousand
Whether you wanted it or not, now you have an idea on what to do with those power tools that are taking up the space in your work area. Just remember, almost everything can be fixed by using the right parts. That is, everything besides Roxy. Sadly the end of the road has come for her and she is no longer in the fixable category. We will long miss her as she rests in peace. What is even worse is that soon she will be resting in pieces.
