You can�t dispute the elegance of the scenery at the Deer Valley resort and the surrounding area, but it is possible to be even more astonished by viewing them from the air. There are several options that you can have if you are interested in getting a bird�s eye view of the breathtaking Deer Valley area. Whether you only want a leisurely run or an exciting descent by ski; you can have a grand experience in the air above this mountainous area.
A great, leisurely option to take in the sights is in a hot air balloon. Morning Star Balloons and Park City Balloon Adventures are both local companies that offer balloon tours. You will need to be an early bird to take part in this activity. Hot air balloon flights leave early in the morning when there is few winds and you get to take in the amazing sunrise.
Another way to look at the scenery from above is given by Park City Helitours. For a reasonable cost, you could book a seat on a helicopter tour to see this beautiful part of Utah from the sky. You might fly over Sundance, Mount Timpanogos, the 2002 olympic Venuse, and Bridal Veil Falls. Charter flights are given but much more costly than the tour options.
A person who wants an adventure may want to try the heli-skiing option. This is somewhat expensive but within reason for someone who is serious about finding that untouched powder. Two local companies, Wasatch Powderbird Guides and Park City Powder Cats & Heli-Ski, Inc. offer heli-skiing . If you choose to pony up the cash, you can plan on a day full of skiing along with professional guides. Most ski days include 6-7 runs and up to 15,000 vertical feet covered. Heli-skiing guests do not need to be extreme skiers, but they do need to have solid skiing skills and reasonable physical stamina. Contact the outfitter you decide to go with for exact requirements and so you can also book a spot.
