Personalized Jewelry is Fine For Any Event

by Casey S Nears

It is okay to admit that you actually like personalized jewelry--even if you usually tell people that you aren't really that big a fan of the stuff. It wasn't very long ago at all that you could only buy personalized jewelry from very high end jewelers and jewelry shops. Alphabet beads got released and changed everything--now people could make jewelry of their own! It wasn't very long before people were discovering ways to emblazon their names on all sorts of different kinds of accessories and jewelry. Many gifts today are name plated jewelry. Here are some of the times when it is a good idea to give someone jewelry that has been personalized.

Have you made a major error? A great way to request forgiveness for a mistake you've made is to place a little piece of personalized jewelry in an envelope with a card. The jewelry does not need to be expensive. It can be as carefree as a necklace that comes with a pendant that has the person's first initial on it. It can be a bracelet you strung together with alphabet beads. If you do not think the person would appreciate jewelry, think about personalizing something else: a small plush toy, a coffee mug, even a set of post-its can be a great gift to communicate how sorry you are for your blunder. If you wonder whether or not the person will appreciate jewelry, think about personalizing another item: like a small plush toy, a coffee cup or stack of post-its can be a nice way to express your apologies for a big whoops. Mothers day is an obvious occasion for the giving of personalized jewelry. Show your wife what a great Mom she is by giving her a personalized necklace or pair of earrings. Putting the names of your kids on the gift is also a good idea (it might even be better than using her name). If you are giving the gift to your own Mom on Mother's day you might think about having a bracelet engraved with your name and her name (or that is made from alphabet beads). You could even help your kids make their gifts for your wife and for their Grandmothers.

Graduations are also a fantastic time to give personalized jewelry as a gift. High School graduations are an especially great excuse to go the personalized route. After all, no one can question who those earrings belong to when the owner's name is engraved in them! Pendants that contain a picture of the recipient are usually welcomed warmly as well. Obviously you are not required to give someone jewelry as a grad gift. Clothing, towels and other fun items can be personalized as well. Personalizing a picture frame and putting a picture of the two of you inside of it also makes a great gift.

You don't have to spend much on personalized jewelry. You don't need to make a troublesome effort for the delivery. Surely, for some gift shoppers, the inexpensiveness is a good reason for choosing to personalize their jewelry in the first place. One of the most charming things about personalized jewelry is that it adds a special something to your garments. Jewelry that has your name (literally) on it is a wonderful way to differentiate your accessories from those worn by your friends. It also makes for a marvelous gift!
