Visiting England, Try Leicestershire
Alright, so you've seen Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, London Bridge, Cambridge University, Buckingham Palace and perhaps more. Granted, these are all venerable English landmarks. But like New York City isn't all of New York State, neither is London all of England. Enjoy English countryside at the Victorian-styled Kilworth House Hotel in Leicestershire.

The atmosphere is further enhanced by a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system.
A sail-like canopy shelters the audience and stage alike from any foul weather. So full pleasure is gotten from productions like "The Pirates of Penzance," "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Crazy for You." Theatre performances typically get favorable reviews. And if you feel you are becoming a little possessive over the county, visit the nearby sights. Built by William the Conqueror, Rockingham castle, bordering Northamptonshire, was built so he could observe the welland valley.
Five counties can be seen from the battlements there and very fancy gardens can be enjoyed as well. Architecture from the 1690s can be appreciated at Stanford Hall, an exquisite home built for Sir Roger Case, whose descendants still live there. If our own bird supply isn't enough, check out Rutland Water, a nationally-respected wildlife sanctuary that features the nesting osprey among its 20,000 waterfowl. The National Space Centre, which has won awards for its rockets, space theatre and moon rock, will not disappoint. Its tower is 42 metres (137.8 feet) high and the Soyuz 7K OK(A) spacecraft is on display. Does Princess Diana intrigue? Then visit her nearby childhood home, the Althorp House, which includes an exhibition of her life and work, and also admire the 450 acres of lovely parkland surrounding it.
For floral splendor, drop in on Gandy's Roses, which offers over 600 rose varieties out of more than 100,000 roses that grow there yearly. The area is full of East Midlands hotels, to find accommodation Longing for the days of jousting, dungeons and battlefield action? That can be found at Foxton Locks. For a little more adventure, you could hang-glide at the Soaring centre, located in Husbands Bosworth, a short drive away.
Shopping can be done at the historic towns of Lutterworth and Market Harborough, whose continental and farmers' markets and regular antiques and collectibles are treasures. Lutterworth Museum recounts some very famous townspeople such as Sir John Whittle (jet engine inventor) and John Wycliffe (English Bible translator).
