Many individuals without much green space can also take up gardening by planting seeds in a variety of containers, including flowers pots, planters and window boxes. A basket filled with garden gifts will be a welcome present for a gardening enthusiast.

Learn more about your recipient. People who like gardening often specialize in one area. Some prefer to plant food items such as fruits, vegetables or herbs. Other gardening enthusiasts prefer to devote their time and energy to cultivating flowers. Knowing the preference of the recipient comes in handy when shopping for items to include in the basket.

Settle on a container. Any kind of basket is fine for holding your items. You can also opt for a variety of other containers to function as your basket. Ideas include buckets, flower pots, window boxes and even trash cans. Make sure your container is large enough to hold all of the items you plan to fill it with.
