Wall Radiators - The Modern Home

by Stephanie Staszko

Radiators are now modern, fashionable accessories for interior design as well as sources of warmth and comfort. Choosing the right radiator for your home can be a daunting task as you're greeted with many different designs, styles, sized and finishes. Wall radiators are currently popular heating devices for the home.

Many heated towel rails are wall mounted, due to height convenience for reaching the towels. They can be great storage spaces and generally have high heat output. Heated towel rails are now available in many different styles and can complete the appearance of your bathroom.

If you're trying to break the rules of convention in your home, wall mounted radiators are the perfect heating option. A radiator that doesn't look like a radiator is currently a major interior design trend. Many designs of wall radiators are tailored for ornamental purposes. Striking, non-conventional designs make them a popular choice for modern, minimalist homes. Some mimic pictures, sculptures and other objects and are great alternatives to other accessories and ornamental features. They also generally look tidier in your home as the pipes are often hidden, unlike their old-fashioned equivalents.

Wall radiators are space savers which adhere to minimalist concepts, including the focus of functionality. They allow for free floor space which is ideal for smaller homes who may struggle to fit furniture around their radiators. They're also convenient for spaces where floor standing radiators simply aren't possible. Should you require heating on your stairs, wall radiators are the perfect solution to the problem of having nowhere to fit the radiator.

Ideal Places for Wall mounted Radiators Room by Room

Dining rooms and living rooms. Try adding some interest to a large blank wall, choose one with a funky design to use as an ornamental feature in a minimalist home.

Bathrooms. Heated towel rails are convenient storage options, can set to ideal height and can be used to dry towels and bathmats.

Stairs. As mentioned before, wall radiators can be a great heating source for stairs where it may be awkward to place a radiator.

Kitchens. Units and appliances may make the possibility of a kitchen radiator seem quite unlikely. Try to source an obscure wall mounted design. Narrow wall radiators in a panel or tubular design are available and can fit in awkward places and small gaps.

With the variety of designs currently available the days of old-fashioned radiators are long gone, making way for intriguing designs and interesting styles which complement the home.
