Unfortunately… A Business Is Hard

Don’t dispel common sense, although I’ve said that common sense is the biggest oxymoron… I hope you’re ready.RUNNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS IS HARD WORK!It will test you in ways that only a business can.People tend to go into this thing thinking that all they have to do is put a few thingstogether, map out a plan, and run blindly into the wilderness. Some people don't even map out a budget for crying out loud! The truth is this. There are many, many pitfalls in the process of becoming a success and wealthy entrepreneur. They come in all shapes and sizes. Lack of belief in your abilities, time concerns, a negative point of view, your “mother-in-law”, hang ups, money issues, no support, various fears, bad self talk, environmental factors, spouses and so on.Guess what… RUNNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS IS HARD WORK!Money is supposed to be an issue.Time is supposed to be an issue.Hang Ups are supposed to be an issue.Fears are supposed to be an issue.Bad Self Talk is supposed to be an issue.Lack of Belief is supposed to be an issue.Environmental Factors are supposed to be an issue. These are all supposed to be issues!I’m a little guy who made it big. It was hard for me. I was on the road 6 nights a week working my business from 6pm until 11pm... and this work was done AFTER I got home from my J.O.B. If I could spare you all themisery, I’ll do it.Thankfully, I had a friend tell me something. It toughened me up early. If there is one piece of advice I can give you… it’s this:Don’t sweat the small stuff. What’s the small stuff?Money issues.Time issues.Hang-upsFears.Lack of BeliefEnvironmental FactorsWE ARE TALKING ABOUT BUILDING YOU YOUR DREAM LIFESTYLE RIGHT?I wouldn’t compare your issues with your dreams and aspirations. That’s one of those pitfalls I was talking about earlier.Like I said… don’t sweat the small stuff.Build your dream… and let nothing and no one stop you from achieving it.Always remember that Patience is virtue. Make sure you are in this for the long haul. The 100 guarantee to fail is to just quit... never quit.Your business is too important. The lives of the people you are going to help is even more important. Here's the bottom line on why so many home businesses fail... people go into them with an "employee's" mindset; not the "owner's" mindset. Two very different thoughts processes here. The employee's mindset is on just doing it to get a paycheck. They feel that they have no responsibility to their business, and that they can survive without it.The owner's mindset is a mindset of desperation... THEY NEED TO MAKE IT WORK! They need this to work because they have put their heart, soul, and hard earned money into it. They take full responsibility for it, and will do anything to make it succeed.See the difference? Most people are born employee's. In fact they would have been better off not starting their own business to begin with.I appreciate you for reading this. I hope it keeps you on the path.David PynnInternational Success Coach
