How to Get Your Scrapbooking Creative Juices Flowing
Have you ever sat down to scrapbook and you're mind goes completely blank? You just sit there and just cant imagine anything creative? Some helpful books and magazines have been written to help those creative juices to start to flow. The following are a couple books and magazines that help me when I'm having a mental block.
A must have book for all scrapbookers is Becky Higgins Creative Sketches. It's full of layout sketches and ideas to explain those sketches. It's organized by number of pictures you have so it is really easy to find exactly what you want. I use this so often that the pages are beginning to fall apart! You may want to simply use the sketches and layouts to get some ideas or you can copy them exactly.
A fabulous magazine specifically created for intermediate and advanced scrapbookers is Creating Keepsakes Magazine. It shows many different techniques and has many great articles to inspire you. Creating Keepsakes also features a lot of layouts from other scrappers in several different countries. It focuses on extravagant layouts.
Simple Scrapbooks Magazine is a magazine for the beginner and simpler layout kind of person. It has the same structure as Creating Keepsakes for they are sister magazines. It has layouts and articles in it. It also has ideas for miniature albums.
There are many helpful ideas in the media. Each book or magazine focuses on different things. To locate a book or magazine you will use a lot, look at your methods of scrapbooking and determine what your focus is.
