Do you want to know how to gain confidence? If it's a little low right now, it can have an impact on your social life. Those who have a low level of self confidence are often concerned about how they look to others. They don't want to be judged by their friends and family. They remain in their comfort zones to eliminate the risk of being rejected. They avoid talking to new people which often leads to isolation.

It may be comforting to know that many people who appear to be confident often are not. Like you, they have been told to act as if they are confident. They have been told to plaster a smile on their face. To an extent, it works. Smiling does make someone appear to have self confidence. null Watch out though because smiling too much can make you look insincere and insincere. When you smile first, they will almost always smile back.

Luckily it is simple to see how to gain confidence. Someone who has self confidence will realistically look at their strengths and weaknesses. They are able to relax with the uncertainty of a situation. They understand that things do always go how you want. Unless they face their challenge, they will not reach their goals and dreams. It is not the lack of ability that keeps people from reaching their goals. It is the lack of self confidence to even get started.

One way to gain confidence is to begin to take action. Each time you take a step towards your goals, you improve your level of skill and ability. Break the goal down into a step that is small enough for you to comfortably take. You will become more confident as you learn by doing. Take a few moments to reflect on all the things that went right, later on. Don't think about all the things that did or could have gone wrong. Focus instead on the positive.

Before you take action you may want to rehearse mentally. Close your eyes and think about a situation in which you want to begin to feel confident. Begin to focus on what might go right. Picture yourself feeling and acting confidently and decisively. When you take your focus off of what might go wrong things are more likely to go the way you want it to.
