How to move house by hire van and save money

by Dave Williams

Maybe you've gone through many experiences of moving furniture from one place to another, even a complete removal tedious. Some people turn to businesses to make the move and some tries to make it on their own with the physical effort it takes to do so. There's always a first time for almost everything and this experience is interesting.

A friend asked me for help because his age and time of driving could not give him access of a rental van. We have to move little furniture with a very large wardrobe, mattresses, tables, etc... So we went to rent a Renault Master, a commercial vehicle of the French brand. It measures about 3.7 meters long, 1.89 meters high and 1.79 meters wide, with no glass and a sliding side door and double rear doors. With a maximum weight of cargo nearly 1,600 kg and a cargo volume of nearly 13 cubic meters which seemed like enough to carry almost everything we need.

During the tour of the highway, about 90 km, the Master offered a good sense of acceleration even in sixth run up to about 120 - 130 km / h (except the rules turned off ... when the van to try eh! ). The low vibration of the previously talked it was clear to overtake trucks, turbulence clearly affect more vehicles with higher cabin. Latent chaos in big cities is multiplied by two when they move with a van as big (now I understand the stress of some carriers ...) The other drivers certainly do not facilitate the maneuvers of a van, as the largest radio opening to be save to turn in a fairly closed curve.

Most certainly we finished our journey in less than an hour and all of our loads were in exact position. Van helped us move all of our things in a same time and we save our time, petrol and most importantly our money.
