Three of The Most Common Parenting Styles That Are Observed
A combination of parenting styles usually make up the unique style of parenting that most people have. Research has been done on the topic of parenting, and it has recognized a certain style of parenting that is dominant in some people. The way in which a parent connects with their child would be realized by the parent in an ideal world. Once done, then any flaws or negative approaches will be addressed and replaced with more positive behavior. Whilst this does occur with many parents, we certainly know that this does not happen to them all. All that can happen is people read the available information out there and apply it.
The first thing you need to consider is how your inconsistent behavior is adversely affecting your kids. A consequence to this type of inconsistent parenting is that our kids will be anxious and confused. You will end up with perplexed and troubled children if you rule your home unpredictably.
Thus, anxiety is the only possible byproduct of this type of behavior because of not knowing what will happen next. The end result will be a host of behavioral difficulties because of the stress and panic that you are putting them through.
Obviously, parents that are inconsistent are doing so for various reasons. Parents that are consistently inconsistent are this way because it is the easiest road to travel. Single parents often fall victim to this type of inconsistent parenting. Making a conscious effort to be reliable regardless of what else is going on in their lives is what these parents need to do.
Parents can almost guarantee that their contradictory nature will never repair itself if they continue to make rash decisions.
Every parent only wants what's best for their children, which is natural. But remember to practice as much healthy parenting as possible. Practicing a bit of caution when expecting things from your children is important; don't burden them with impossible ambitions or goals. There's a certain balance that you must find as a parent, which will be dictated by the abilities of your child. So you should try to assess your child, and you should also count on them doing wonderful things, but don't demand too much because you will pile on undue stress for your child.
Children will never go in this direction if their lives are filled with feelings of safety and security. Children that feel safe, and that have regularity at home, typically do not become anxious or manipulative. If your kids are able to grow up and feel that their world is safe, they will have a better chance at a positive and productive life later on. A highly unstable and inconsistent home environment has just the opposite effect. This is not to say that bad childhood experiences filled with insecurities is the reason that many adults today feel insecure. Simply stated, children that do grow up in a balanced environment have a better chance of doing well and being much more happy as an adult.
