The warmth of Christmas Holiday: Gift ideas for her

by Vena Stacker

The Christmas season is special to us. Houses full of glorious decorations, and smells of gingerbread and vanilla fills the air. Decorations and lights can be found in abundance in stores. Our homes have garland and trees full of ornaments and lights. Thoughts of Christmas dinner with ham and dinner rolls, and sweet potato pie. The incredible smells of freshly cooked pies settle in the air. We don't mind the crowds of holiday shoppers with gift ideas searching the stores for presents to give their love ones. This searching fo gift ideas is the beginning of our Christmas journey. Hundreds of cars make circles in the parking lots in hopes of finding that parking space near the front of the mall.We still go on until that mysterious parking space finally shows up. Still all in all shoppers are not daunted from their search and passion to shop and find the gifts of love that tend to put smiles on their loves ones faces Christmas morning. [randimg]

Santas history is not known to a lot of us. It started in the Dutch community. Santa went by the name of Saint Nicholas and was known to help the neighboring people with bags of money. He was known by the name Sint Nikolaas or his nickname of Sinter Klaas which later in America became known as Santa Claus. We remember with heartfelt clarity the stories of Santa our parents told us as little kids. Our parents told us that Santa only came and gave presents to the good little kids who did not argue with their parents and were good all year long. Santa came late at night when we were all sleeping and dreaming of sugar plums, toys, and things. We could not stay up on Christmas eve because Santa would not come if we were awake! We were told that he would come at the stroke of midnight with a big round belly and a bag of toys, and that he would some how manage to come down the chimney of our house in a twinkling of and eye, and then suddenly in a poof of smoke Santa was gone on to the next good little child's house. At the dawn of Christmas, we jumped up to see what Santa had left us under our tree. We hopped out of bed and tried to awaken dad and mom who seemed dead to the world, although a few minutes later they came down to help us with our many gifts. This Christmas morning was so exciting opening our gifts with the family, shouting with happiness on our discovery. Our christmas list was answered by the man who lives at the North Pole with his reindeer and elves, prepairing for a new Christmas day !
