Weight Loss That Keeps You Sane
Three Simple Tips For Losing Weight
How To Lose Weight While Keeping Your Sanity
Set your weight loss goals. Sounds simple, right? Want to know a secret that will help you reach your goals?
Here it is, write your goals down. There is something about the written word that has the power to help you
reach your goals. Set yourself up for success when using goal setting for weight loss. Set goals that are
specific and measurable. In other words, determine how much you weight you want to lose and when you will have
lost the weight. Take this a step further and tell someone else your goal. Have someone else, a family member
or friend, hold you accountable. How about using the power of suggestion? Make a audio tape or an MP3 with a
personal message spoken in your words telling you that you are losing weight. Include "white noise" to start
the audio for the first ten minutes followed by your weight loss affirmations. Listen to this when you go to
bed. Let your subconscious mind tune into the weight loss message.
Make sure you have a schedule. Your day should include regularly scheduled meals, exercise, and sleep. Keep
these activities regular to train your body to do exactly what you want - lose weight. Instead of having the
experts recommend what to do, figure out what works best for you. Some weight loss experts suggest eating
multiple small meals each day. If your daily schedule makes it difficult to eat throughout the day, then figure
out what works for you. For me, I prefer to eat the same thing for breakfast every day. The meal that I eat in
the morning keeps me filled through the morning. I don't have the opportunity to eat small snacks during the
morning, so I find that I large, filling breakfast works for me. Same goes for exercise and sleep. Regular
exercise trains your body to expect certain activity each day. Finally, don't underestimate the power of sleep.
Realize that losing and maintaining an ideal weight for your body is a life long process. Don't scold yourself
if you are not losing weight at the rate you want to. Appreciate your ability to stick with a solid,
disciplined weight loss plan that works for you.
