Why People Don't Make Money Online And How To Solve It

by Sherman Choo

When I look back now after dancing in the "Make Money Online" arena, I can see why many people don't make money online.

Some people sell information on how you can make money online. There's nothing wrong in that. The problem comes when, I believe for most people, after following the instructions to the letter, nothing happened, no 6 figure income overnight, no dreams and riches in 7 days because the information was too generic and missed some important indepth techniqes which we'll touch on in another article.

One thing we will mention though is that in order for you to succeed in your chosen internet market, you need to spend time establishing yourself in your surfers eyes and that comes with time and familiarity. Say you're into Water Sking and want to establish yourself as an expert, resulting in people buying your info products on "How to Ski Well", then you need to spend time learning how to get targeted traffic to your site and once they get there, you need a powerful marketing system in place that lets people know you and what you have to offer benefits them, solves their problems.

And the more lucrative the market, the more money there is, the more competition and the more powerful your sales system needs to be. Makes sense doesn't it? The more prestigious the golf tournament, the more the prize money, the better the golfers will be. So if you have a mighty golf swing (read system) that will make Mr Tiger Woods run for cover...then you're gonna take home the winner's cup!

Here's a story...

I have a friend who's into helicopter modelling. I asked if he had a website, he said yes. I said ok... give me 1 day and I'll know whether or not you're making money with this site. I called him in 1 hr and told him,

"You're not making money with your website."

Amazed... he asked how did i know... Simple, cause I can't find you online when I tried to search high and low for your website, and your market was extremely niche, with not many competing results.

A business with no marketing and promotions is a dead business. If people can't find you, they will go elsewhere.

One good way to succeed in the "make money online arena" is just to leverage on a person who is already established online. So if you're looking to succeed in the "make money niche" or "MLM" by way of Success University or GDI or SFI or Nuskin, Shaklee, MyHunza or whatever MLM you're in, steal prestiege via association with other successful online entrepreneurs to sell the business. CreditsToCash is one example that helps their members this way. Be an affiliate for a successful person the same way Jerry Maguire....or a sports agent sells a sports star. Or let's say you're in a Karate niche, and don't know the difference between a "Nunchaku" and "Chopsticks", you can do an interview with a known Karate expert which will increase your credibility in the eyes of the consumer, simply by association.

If you want to make money online in whatever niche you're in, create for yourself social proof that you're somebody that's going to stay, especially necessary if you're in the "make money online" arena. Stop with the "Make $10,000 in 30 days" hype. That's possible for some superstars who've been around for 5 years and have the battle scars to prove it. For most people starting just as most average joes did (I was an average joe) with insufficient internet success knowledge, they'll be lucky to make even 1 sale online in 90 days.

Familarity takes time, so let people know that you're not a Mickey Mouse person, with a website that's here today, gone tomorrow. The more internet properties you have, it means you are making money and that creates respect because of your experience and track record. Credibilty which results in sales takes time to build and can be shortened by way of association with people who are already successful in your market.

That's how business partnerships, empires, and alliances are formed and if you can do that, you're fast on your way convincing your target audience that you're the real mcoy and deserve their trust! And with trust comes sales, especially on the net.
