Fitness Training - The 3 Most Common Mistakes Beginner Exercisers Make
When a person starts a beginners fitness routine, they need to understand the common pit falls they may encounter. It will be the difference between failing and succeeding when it comes to exercise. The three common mistakes here can be avoided. This article will help you understand when you encounter these mistakes.
Mistake #1 Working out to hard or to heavy.
This is a common one for men and women who start a beginners exercise routine. They start by getting all hyped up only to get hurt or burn themselves out.
Here is what to do instead: Beginners should start off slow to learn the equipment before adding a ton of weight. Strict form should be used on all exercises and you should start off as light as possible. If you are doing any type of cardio to work the heart. I would suggest starting off with about ten minutes your first few times then increasing it five minutes each time from there. Please no more than one hour on any cardio machine.
Mistake #2 Skipping way to many workouts.
I know most people are very busy and don't have the time to exercise. So why do you always see the same people exercising and working out.
Here is what to do instead: Schedule your workouts for the mornings when things are normally quiet or evenings if that works out better. It is more important to find the time that is right for you. I found that when most people write something on their calendar they are more likely to commit to that time frame. Even if it's for working out you should commit to at least three times a week for yourself. You will see the benefits if you stay consistent.
Mistake #3 Not eating before and after your workout.
If this is news to you your not alone. Most people think that they should be exercising on an empty stomach. Wrong! I will use this as an example, would you drive your car on an empty tank.
Here is what to do instead: Eat a small meal before working out at home or at the gym. If you rush to get to the gym bring a banana, yogurt, apple, or my favorite a granola bar. It helps you stay strong throughout the workout plus you are putting a quality snack into your body.
After your workout I would put some quality food into the body and also if you want a nice protein shake. It is always good to give the body food right after you exercise to replenish what you burned in your workout.
One last reminder is to always drink plenty of water during the time of your beginners fitness routine. You're body will appreciate this.
