The 450 AMG is powered by 3.0-Liter turbo-charged V6 top-of-the-range engine that packs in 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with nine-speed automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC and 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system. With the gasoline biturbo engine, it has an acceleration rate of 0 to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds.
It offers five transmission modes: Individual, Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport+. The modes can be selected using a rotary central console. Moreover, it is equipped with Airmatic air suspension system which is said to guarantee stability when driving.
The dimension of the vehicle is 192.9 inches in length, 78.9 inches in width and 68.1 inches in height. The wheelbase measures 114.8 inches while the track width is 65.3 inches in front and 67.9 inches in the back.
Safety measures include the standard brake system BAS Plus, Curve Dynamic and Crosswind Assists, and Collision Prevention Assist Plus. Optionally, the owner can add cross-traffic assist, brake with pedestrian detection, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Parking Assist. Night vision is improved by LED Intelligent Light System.
The interior can fit up to five people and boasts a stunning infotainment system that has a car dvd player and an 8-inch intuitive touchpad. The 450 AMG starts selling at $77,600.
