Differences between Static and Dynamic websites ***************************************** On the entire web server, any website is decided into two main categories. One is static and second is Dynamic website. Both are created in a different way and put into service dissimilarly. If you are going to create any website or have a website then it's very essential for you to know what the difference between both of them is. As you can understand the name, static website have only static content, they use unchangeable content and deliver to the client who are seeking the website on their computer browser. They always remain in their published form unless, they are edited and re upload on the web server.A static site is one that is written in HTML only. Each page is a separate document and there is no database that it draws on. What this means functionally is that the only way to edit the site is to go into each page and edit the HTML - so you'd either have to do it yourself using a webpage editor like FrontPage or pay us to go in and edit the site each time you wanted something changed. A dynamic site is written using more complex code and can do a lot more. If you want to understand static website, think a matter printed on a paper. All the content of this book set by the author before the time of printing. The content always be the same like what it is. There is no matter how much you read it. If the author wishes to update his book, he use to re write the book then printout this and publish only then user can see the summary of a new updated book. Dynamic website has active content. Which can change according to user or owner at any time. One of the most important uniqueness of dynamic websites is that they can deliver user targeted content. After knowing the difference between these, time to discuss which type of website is suitable for your business or organization. Dynamic website is not easier and cheaper as they build using scripting language like php, asp.net, jsp and perl etc. but static is cheaper and easier instead of dynamic webpages. Since the code and data are stored separately for a dynamic website, updating them is easy as updating only requires dealing with the data part and also can be done by any non technical person.
