Simple Tips And Resources From A Tour Of Social Media Experts
After attending a Social Media Mastery Tour, there were some timeless strategies they shared that will be valuable to increasing your visibility to your ideal clients.
This one-day event consisted of networking and presentations by a group of experts in the Social Media arena.
I've pulled out the tips/resources they shared from my notes and perhaps you'll find a nugget or two to increase your own visibility and expertise!
When creating a new blog post, go to Google's keyword tool, https://adwords.google.com to test for topics of interest. Type in your topic and you'll see what people are searching for so that you can tailor your headline/topic to pull interested traffic.
Looking for an opportunity to a guest post or have someone provide a guest post for you? Use bloggerlinkup.com! It's a free service that provides you with a list of people looking for expert information to share on their blogs.
Would you like to have someone read all the headlines and reports in your niche, association, and industry and provide it in a concise format so that you can get on with your day? Check out smartbrief.com They have an incredible variety of choices to keep you in touch with what you need to know in a daily brief delivered to your inbox.
Discover the "Twitter" for video! Tout.com This site shows you how to create a quick 15 sec video that you can upload to social media and your website. It works on the iPhone and Google Play.
Want to send a video email? Look into mailvu.com and eyejot.com.
Be sure to "Pin" your videos, books, magazines, products, articles, blog posts, and other people's pins (we called this OPP back in the day…but it meant something else…lol) to Pinterest!
A great editor for photo's and images is Pixlr.com. Be sure to add your url to your pictures so that people know how to find you!
If you are using LinkedIn, be sure to update your "Company Page!" (I didn't know I had one!) Also use keywords in your title and throughout your profile so that you are easily found.
Here is a "stealth" technique for LinkedIn…(shhhh). Look at who has viewed your profile, connect with them and ask if they had a question for you that you can help them with! This demonstrates that you are trying to be of service and connects you with more people of interest.
I hope you have discovered some new tips, tools and resources to keep you out front on social media and top of mind for your leads, prospects and clients!
I certainly learned about some new tools and met new business owners at the Social Media Mastery Tour event. Don't overlook local opportunities like this to get out, learn something cool and meet new people when you see events like this advertised…you just never know where it can take you!
