Consider Each Of The Abortion Alternatives When Facing Unplanned Pregnancies

In recent years, abortion alternatives encompass many options, including abstinence (as a pre-emptive measure) and single parenting. And, despite what many think, unplanned pregnancies are emotionally unsettling for a good majority. And for most, this emotional impact is avoided by taking preventative measures. But most teenagers have to put up with the pressure to become sexually active much sooner than they are ready. The pressure to be a sexual being is everywhere, including popular magazines and on cable TV. If you don't believe what I'm saying, simply turn on your television. But the bottom line is that you have to decide what is best for your life.

So, what can you do when so many of your peers are engaging in sexual activity? It comes down to what you ultimately desire for your future. Will you pursue your college degree, a great career, and a fairytale wedding that every girl dreams of? Unfortunately, most young women don't think about their futures so clearly. And frankly, they don't think about all of the emotional consequences that can arise as a result of engaging in sex. They also don't think about the possible health risks. But for millions of women each year, the consequences of early sexual activity include unplanned pregnancies.

The statistics are alarming, and the median age of the unwed mother keeps going lower and lower. Well, my situation was the same; however, I chose to commit to the ultimate of abortion alternatives. On my own, I made the decision to mother my child as a single mother. Yes, it was very hard in the beginning, and I wasn't always sure how I would make it. Nevertheless, I hung in there and I'm very glad that I kept my child.

But if you don't fancy yourself as a single, unwed parent, you still have plenty of abortion alternatives to chose from. A lot of childless families pray for an opportunity to find the right child to adopt. Your precious child will be given the chance to be the recipient of love and continuous dedication. Consider the fact that they will have this supportive life structure as they grow.

Your child will get love and support as they navigate their way through grade school. Your child will have love and support as they undergo the transition from teenager to young adult. And if you opt for the process of an open adoption, your baby will grow up knowing that you gave them up out of a sense of love, honor and respect.

So, if you ever face a challenging situation concerning an unexpected pregnancy, do yourself a favor and review all of your abortion alternatives.
