There are many bad habits, pitfalls and obstacles to overcome in the business arena. Check yourself against this list and see how you stack up.

1.No focus and commitment.

You need to decide what you will be doing and when you will do it. You need to evaluate the price of the achievement, what it will cost you in time and effort. Is it worth it to you?

2.No short term and long term goals.

Without clear cut goals there will be no progress. Set goals that are attainable on a daily, monthly and long term basis. Find a good goal setting program and use it. This is a personal and business tactic that all successful people use.

3.Indecision.

Make that decision quickly. Take time to change your decision. Make sure to gather all the facts you can when making decisions. Evaluate quickly, do not hesitate to move forward.

4.No action.

Of course we know where most couch potatoes are. Right!You must take action based on the goals that you put down for daily, monthly, and long term. Remember Rome was not built in a day and it was one of the most glorious cites ever built.

5.No mentor.

Find a mentor in areas that you are working on.Every successful man and woman has had mentors.Donald Trump-His Father, Arnold Schwarzenegger-Joe Weider, just to name a few.

6.No clear cut dream or future reality, destination.

Make sure you dream cleary and specifically, making it real. Never let that dream fade. Stay focused on it. Nurture it and Keep it alive.

7.No plan to finance income production or startup be it large or small.

Even the smallest enterprises need some financing on a regular basis such as small ads, printing or postage. Pursue financing if needed from close friends, family you can trust and banks. Create a budget that is realistic for your business needs. Do not use up your entire budget right out of the gate

8.Lots of opportunity tire kicking but no true desire to go for it.

Its ok to evaluate several enterprises that you may want to begin, key word BEGIN. You must begin. I personally have evaluated as many as fifty businesses in the area I am interested in. I break that down into the top ten then top five then I choose one.

9.Getting ready to get ready.

Once you have the vehicle, get in, start it, put it in drive and go. You should have your plan in place so get started right away.

10. No marketing or salesmanship

You must market your business. If you do not then your not in business. If you do not sell well, enlist some help. The internet is a great place to start inexpensively.
