by Lawrence Reaves

In addition to the pilot projects of the Information Society being a useful endeavor for the tester, society as a whole can also benefit from their exercise. Technology is able to test and make a real living environment. Legal and regulatory challenges become possible, but also eliminate the social and political barriers to the introduction of new technology.

The European Council recommends the development of the Information Society based on five principles: ensuring access with public access points and network building; online content and electronic services in parallel with the traditional, such as official information and public services, education and development of cultural services; computer literacy and information dissemination, public-private partnerships in financing, and promoting the development of services; and monopolies preventing the emergence of information markets.

Many social scientists place the Information Society as the fourth mode of life in human history. The transition to the Information Society is placed somewhere in the beginning of the 1990s.

The Information Society is using Information Technology to gain a competitive advantage globally. It is a society that considers the importance of the aggregate consumption of information. A precise definition does not exist that is accepted by all of the Information Society. The Information Society is based on new technology, new approaches, and new skills. It is characterized by a network based approach, dynamics and conceptuality.

Influencing the Information Society is mainly based on knowledge. Affected sources of information include the internet, international media, and information technology, which is generally increased in people between the communication and international organizations. For the Information society, there is no clear definition as opposed to the concepts of agricultural, industrial, and social services, which are mainly determined by the national production structure. The information society is seen as the society after the industrial society, encouraging development, although many consider the service society to hold this place. The similar terms social network or network society emphasize the information society, characterized by networked production and action.

The Information Society came in the 1990s as a trendy term, around which new technologies were speculated to be brought about by the possibilities. It is considered important for many countries such as Finland to appear as one of the world's leading information societies. The respective state administrations have been a regular basis for new national e-strategies. The information society is partaken in often on the Internet. The knowledge society is a case for fixed and high-speed Internet access to all citizens on fixed and mobile networks, in addition. With the latest information society strategy for 2007 - 2015 the focus has shifted away from computer networks and technology. The goal is to make a humane and competitive knowledge and service society.

Basically, it has been about the strategies of companies to give a positive word, and the importance of attractive content. Development has not been questioned, but it is considered to be inevitable. The only relevance in this circumstance has been the monitoring of how people survive in an international information society space for toxicity studies.
