Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 Review

Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3, successor to the MK2 digital turntable unit that captured analog/vinyl emulation better than any other brand or digital turntable in the world!By the biggest majority of big name artist and by clubs around the world, Pioneer's CDJ lineup has always been the first choice option of use in the field of digital turntables, mixers, and effectors. It is the benchmark and industry standard of equipment. Pioneer's newest and greatest entry is the CDJ-1000MK3.The newest and most notable feature added is the ability to now play mp3 music extensions that have been burned to your CD-R/CD-RW's at any bit rate. Both Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and Variable Bit Rate (VBR) mp3 music is playable. What this option means for you is more music per disc depending on what format you use. VBR may be able to hold possibly up to 20 more tracks than CBR but there is somewhat of a catch to this. When using VBR the search and cue will operate a bit slower. But it really isn't that big of a deal, not the end of the world. We have mp3 now and if you need but gripe about it just resort to using CBR only. For quick track selection there are two "mp3 Folder Search" buttons for use, a left and a right arrow button. The "Jog Wheel Adjust" has undergone quite a change as well. You can now adjust the resistance felt when using the wheel to being "Light or Heavy" by simply turning the knob called "Jog Adjust" that is located at the top-right directly above the jog wheel dial itself. All LCD's look better and are clearer to see. The track display now shows how many total tracks are on a disc at all times. The “Jog Display” can be seen at more of an angle now. Also the “Cue Marker” has become bigger and inside the marker the white inside ring has 4 black location marker lines placed at the top, bottom, left, and right so you can mark and time your scratching better. The waveform bar is longer (90mm as opposed to the MK2's 60mm), sharper looking (Resolution is made up of 100 dots as opposed to the MK2's 50 dots), and features no black line breaks in the wave itself which the MK2 did.Other Features:-Gold RCA Connectors for highest quality sound and reduce signal resistance and noise, better longevity.-Three Hot Cues and a Rec Mode button to save your cues.-Instant Reverse at the hit of a switch.-Real Time Seamless Loop-Loop In / Out AdjustAdjust both the In and Out points of a loop stored in memory, loop-In adjust is only on the CDJ-1000MK3.-ReloopInstantaneously revert back to the beginning of a loop stored in memory.-MemorySave Wave Data, Cue, and Loop points on memory card (MMC or SD) or the MK3’s internal memory. Use your memory card in previous CDJ-1000/CDJ-1000MK2 units.-Tempo/Master Tempo control and Tempo Control Reset.-Eject Button
