Sperm Banks
Sperm Donor
Women can choose to use an anonymous donor who will not be a part of a family life, or they may choose known donors which may be contacted later in life by the child. Many women may choose to use a surrogate to carry their child, using eggs provided by the woman and sperm from a donor. This gives women that are not able to carry a baby a chance at motherhood. Sperm banks are embracing a less formal approach to the provision of their services, letting people take a relaxed approach to their own individual requirements. Keeping the donors anonymous is up to the donor. They give this option to help recruit more donors and to use their sperm to produce whatever number of pregnancies allowed where they operate. This also helps to ensure the privacy some women might want. Sperm banks allow couples security in their family's futures. A husband can have his sperm frozen if he worries that he may not always be around. Whether due to an illness or maybe a dangerous job. He can make sure his wife will always be able to have his children. Single women also may choose to use a sperm bank for their privacy policies. If they want to have a child, but does not want to worried about any interference from a potential father. Lesbian couples may find a sperm bank perfect for their family planning needs. Giving them the freedom to choose a certain donor. Infertility is a big factor in a lot of peoples lives. Sperm banks are far from a cure for infertility, however, they can be an answer to a prayer. A couple may decide that using a sperm bank is there best option for a family if the husband is infertile. They can choose a donor with simpler features as the husband. Making it a good chance that the child may resemble both husband and wife. Sperm banks do not only have privacy policies for the people choosing donors. Some donors do not wish to be known. They may donate to a sperm bank for extra money, not wanting to be notified if their donation has been selected for use. Some controversy surrounds sperm banks. This can cause people to be afraid to go to and use a sperm bank. Everyone is entitled to make their own decisions when planning a family. Sperm banks give people with no other option a chance to fulfill their dreams. They also provide a different option for someone undecided.
