Cure For Tinnitus: Have You Found Yours Yet? Here's Why I Know You Haven't!
If you think this article is going to share the cure for tinnitus with you, then you're probably going to be disappointed. Am I suggesting that you can't do anything about your tinnitus? Hardly. But what I am saying is that you're not going to find any legitimate doctor anywhere who will prescribe you a bottle of "tinnitus cure" medication. Why not? Because such a thing doesn't even exist.
But please don't get discouraged, as a cure for tinnitus really CAN'T exist. Say what? It's true, and I'll prove it to you in the following paragraphs. And the reason I'm asking you not to get discouraged is that there are actually many cures for numerous causes of tinnitus. Are you confused yet? Let me help you out here.
If your tinnitus was caused by excessive earwax buildup, for example, then having that impacted earwax removed would be your "cure." Your tinnitus would likely disappear overnight. However, if nerve damage caused by a huge sound system at a heavy metal concert is to blame, then you can remove earwax until the cows come home, but your condition isn't likely to improve whatsoever.
And the list of potential causes isn't by any means limited to loud music and waxy ear canals. Certain medications, excessive alcohol consumption, stress, an acidic bloodstream, narcotic abuse, hypertension (high blood pressure), quinine, atherosclerosis, head and/or neck trauma, certain cancers, and general hearing loss can all lead to the development or worsening of tinnitus symptoms. And this is by no means an exhaustive list.
Seriously, you find me one single cure for ALL of these things and I will share my millions with you... and give you half the credit for my Nobel Peace Prize!
My point is, in order to cure your tinnitus once and for all, you're going to need to know what the underlying condition is. Otherwise, there is nothing to cure. You are very hard-pressed to actually cure a symptom, which is what tinnitus is. Instead, it is far more intelligent to get your condition properly diagnosed so that you know what it is you're even fighting.
An example of this would be if the tinnitus you're experiencing happens to be a medical side effect of your newest doctor-prescribed medication. While you could simply have your prescription changed and most likely enjoy relief from tinnitus within days, if it's never actually determined that this is the root problem, then you can spend months or even years trying this holistic strategy or that, this nutritional supplement or that... and never get anywhere!
