Designer Jonathan Adler began his career making pottery in Rhode Island, then went on to work at a New York talent agency, where he became “deeply depressed.” Adler soon returned to pottery and struck gold when Barneys began ordering his wares (thanks, in no small measure, to life partner Simon Doonan’s gentle influence); the rest, of course, is retail history. Since opening his cheerful Manhattan store in 1998, later followed by outposts in Easthampton, Los Angeles and Miami, Adler has expanded his considerable talents to furniture and a wide array of home and personal accessories like bed and bath linens. Adler’s style, especially in furniture design, seems consistent with many other home stores in Soho, but his sixties-modern look out-mods the rest, particularly when accompanied by his funky (and often witty) collection of lamps, ceramics, pillows and other objets d'art.
The Capri Collection by Jonathan Adler combines modern shaping with cheerful colors and Polished Nickel accents. This transitional table lamp features a teardrop base with a wide Ceramik Blanco drum shade and bottom metal drop washer. Full-range dimming provides just the right amount of light.
Jonathan Adler is known for re-inventing the art of pottery and home décor through modern collections that are influenced by fashion and pop-culture and infused with his signature wit. Since 1993, Adler's pottery and textiles have been a favorite among hip and descerning consumers and celebrities and have adorned the sets of The Today Show, Will and Grace and Sex in the City. Palm Beach Basics features blue and brown or cheerful pink and orange bands that create a more traditional yet very modern look for the table.
The Meurice Collection of Jonathan Adler features some of the finest transitionally styled pieces that Robert Abbey has to offer with a glistening antique natural brass finish over cast metal and black and white parchment shades. The look and feel of the Meurice Collection is one that entertained your aesthetic tastes and will satisfy your lighting needs. A new modernist collection of dinnerware inspired by the natural form of seeds, barnacles, pebbles and other natural wonders. Please purchase on online http://www.etabletop.com
